PLUTA attorney Peter Roeger launches M&A process for KonzeptBau

Provisional insolvency administrator Mr Peter Roeger from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has launched the process of finding an investor for KonzeptBau GmbH based in Bayreuth. To this end, he has exclusively appointed transaction consultancy BGA Invest to conduct the sale process and to market multiple sites for residential project development. The plots form part of the assets of KonzeptBau, which has been involved in provisional insolvency proceedings since 31 March 2025.

PLUTA attorney Mr Peter Roeger said, “The sale process could result in one of the following three scenarios: an overall solution for KonzeptBau, the bundled sale of multiple construction projects or the disposal of individual project development sites to various investors. Our goal is to achieve the best possible outcome.” The provisional insolvency administrator, supported by BGA Invest, will dispose of the sites by tender as part of a structured process. Attorney Mr Peter Roeger is being supported in the proceedings by business lawyer Mr Holger Christian Buehler.

Sales portfolio with more than 150 residential units

The properties are located in Bayreuth and the surrounding area as well as at one Garmisch-Partenkirchen site. The sales portfolio covers a total area of more than 18,000 m², distributed across four plots of between 1,500 and 8,000 m². Overall, the development of more than 150 residential units is envisaged.

The project sites are ideally suited for the construction of new housing. Bayreuth is an important economic and cultural centre in Upper Franconia, with stable infrastructure, a university and constant demand for residential space. Garmisch-Partenkirchen complements the portfolio as an established residential and leisure location with a high standard of living and a scarcity of available land.

Planned solutions for advanced construction projects

In addition to the project development sites, KonzeptBau had also been in the process of delivering multiple construction projects that are currently at an advanced stage. Mr Peter Roeger said, “Over recent weeks, we have comprehensively analysed all of the ongoing construction projects that are already well advanced. The discussions with all involved have been constructive. We are working together to find solutions that will allow the individual residential units to be handed over.” This affects the Tannenbergstraße project, where the exterior facilities in particular are yet to be constructed, and the Jahnstraße project, where there are still finishing works to be done.
