G. Wurm GmbH + Co. KG has acquired the product range and inventory of long-standing company Riffelmacher & Weinberger Christbaumschmuck-Fabrik GmbH & Co. KG following its application for insolvency. The future of the brand and its much-loved products has been secured through an agreement with insolvency administrator Mr Daniel Barth from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH. There is no change for Riffelmacher & Weinberger customers: they can still order the products, the quality and character of the brand will be maintained and the top-selling items will continue to be available.

An investor has been found for SMS Maschinenbau GmbH based in Albstadt, Baden-Württemberg. Under the ongoing debtor-in-possession proceedings, Hengerda New Materials (Fujian) Co., Ltd. from China will acquire the business operations and take on all 74 employees. The relevant parties signed the purchase agreement on 8 May 2025.

As part of group insolvency proceedings, insolvency administrator Mr Patrick Meyerle from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has achieved a first major success in the restructuring effort: netgrade GmbH and datamints GmbH, two of the group’s four operating companies, have been transferred to two newly founded entities by way of an asset deal. With this investor solution, Mr Patrick Meyerle is ensuring both companies continue operating without any disruption to their activities. All 64 jobs have been saved.

By a decision taken on 7 May 2025, the Local Court of Fürth ordered provisional insolvency administration for the assets of dataform dialogservices GmbH. The court has appointed attorney Mr Patrick Meyerle from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH’s Nuremberg office as provisional administrator.

Provisional insolvency administrator Mr Peter Roeger from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has launched the process of finding an investor for KonzeptBau GmbH based in Bayreuth. To this end, he has exclusively appointed transaction consultancy BGA Invest to conduct the sale process and to market multiple sites for residential project development. The plots form part of the assets of KonzeptBau, which has been involved in provisional insolvency proceedings since 31 March 2025.

heibad Badmöbel Vertriebs GmbH has filed for insolvency with the Local Court of Nuremberg so that it can respond to the economic challenges it faces and establish the conditions needed to secure its long-term future. On 5 May 2025, the court ordered provisional insolvency administration and appointed restructuring expert Mr Peter Roeger from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as provisional administrator.

By its decision taken on 5 May 2025, the Local Court of Hildesheim ordered provisional insolvency administration for the assets of Degner GmbH & Co. KG as well as Degner Verwaltungs-GmbH, the non-operating, personally liable partner. The court appointed attorney Mr Ingo Thurm from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as provisional insolvency administrator for both companies. The toolmaking business remains fully operational.

It will now reposition itself for the future to ensure its long-term competitiveness. The Local Court of Hanover has approved the application and ordered provisional debtor-in-possession proceedings.

Restructuring expert Dr Christian Kaufmann from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has announced the successful conclusion of the M&A process conducted as part of the proceedings for the Vector Foiltec Group. The insolvency administrator has achieved a sustainable follow-up solution for Vector Foiltec GmbH, which specialises in the manufacture of innovative roofing and façade systems, effective 1 May 2025.

Dr Christian Kaufmann, insolvency administrator of Strandhotel Kurhaus Juist, has provided an update on the current progress of the proceedings. The restructuring expert from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH said, “Even though the proceedings have been opened, the hotel remains in business. This long-standing establishment is an integral part of the island’s tourism offering.” On 1 April 2025, the Local Court of Aurich opened insolvency proceedings for the assets of Strandhotel Kurhaus Juist GmbH and appointed Dr Christian Kaufmann as regular administrator. He had already been acting as provisional administrator since the application for insolvency was filed in late January.

On 1 May 2025, the Local Court of Augsburg (insolvency court) opened insolvency proceedings for the assets of Post SV Augsburg e.V. and appointed Mr Georg Jakob Stemshorn from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as regular administrator. He had previously acted as provisional administrator since the application for insolvency was filed in February 2025. An important milestone has therefore been reached in the continuation and sustainable restructuring of the recreational sports club. All sports activities are running as usual, and the 14 employees and 33 trainers remain committed.

Kurt Erxleben GmbH & Co. KG has been successfully restructured: renowned company Max Valier Holding has fully acquired the business operations of the long-standing automotive supplier based in Wildeshausen effective 1 May 2025. All jobs have been saved. This secures the future of the business, which has continued operating under debtor-in-possession proceedings for the past year and more.

“This is a major milestone. All conditions have been fulfilled. MARO Genossenschaft für selbstbestimmtes und nachbarschaftliches Wohnen e.G. (MARO) is nearing the successful completion of its insolvency proceedings,” said insolvency administrator Mr Ivo-Meinert Willrodt from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH. The restructuring team, which also includes attorney Ms Marlene Scheinert, has worked closely with the banks involved, the trustee and management at the housing development cooperative to establish the conditions needed to secure the organisation’s long-term future. “The creditors received their first payment of one million euros in the past week,” added Ms Scheinert.

Schanzer Zeitarbeit GmbH based in Ingolstadt has initiated debtor-in-possession proceedings to position itself for the future and remain competitive. The Local Court of Ingolstadt has approved the company’s application and ordered preliminary debtor-in-possession proceedings.

Insolvency administrator Mr Sebastian Laboga from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has succeeded in finding an investor for telemedicine company BDS Digital Health Solutions GmbH. GoMedicus Group GmbH, a well-known investor in the industry, has acquired the business by way of an asset deal effective 1 February 2025.

Well-known sandwich company Strahmann in Frankfurt am Main will be preserved. Insolvency administrator Ms Christiane Patricia Herweg from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has found a follow-up solution for the insolvent operating company FCS Feinkost Catering Strahmann GmbH.

VAP Bielefeld GmbH, a franchisee operating the VAPIANO restaurant in Bielefeld, has filed for insolvency. Following this, on 28 March 2025, the Local Court of Bielefeld ordered provisional insolvency proceedings and appointed Dr André Wehner from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as provisional administrator.

The long-standing Menrad Group headquartered in Schwäbisch Gmünd has filed for insolvency. By its decision taken on 31 March 2025, the Local Court of Aalen ordered provisional insolvency administration for the assets of Ferdinand Menrad GmbH + Co. KG and appointed attorney Mr Florian Zistler from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as provisional administrator.

In the insolvency proceedings for Dörrmann Bau GmbH, insolvency administrator Mr Patrick Meyerle from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has found an investor despite difficult conditions. Effective 1 April 2025, the family-run GS Schenk Group headquartered in Fürth has acquired construction company Dörrmann based in the municipality of Berg bei Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz (Upper Palatinate).

The restructuring of the Post SV Augsburg e.V. sports club is proceeding as planned. Provisional insolvency administrator Mr Georg Jakob Stemshorn from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has confirmed receipt of several non-binding offers from interested parties in the first phase of the process of finding an investor. The intention is to put the club on a viable footing and work out a sustainable solution within the framework of an insolvency plan.

Insolvency administrator Mr Frank Brachwitz from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has announced positive news for embeddeers GmbH based in Berlin: the restructuring expert has sold the business operations of the IT and engineering services provider (whose main expertise lies in the automotive industry) by way of an asset deal. The creditors’ assembly today approved the takeover by SPYROSOFT SOLUTIONS GmbH, a German subsidiary of SPYROSOFT S.A., a Polish listed company.

UBC Composites GmbH has started to restructure itself under debtor-in-possession proceedings. The Local Court of Heilbronn assented to the company’s application on 20 March 2025 and ordered provisional debtor-in-possession proceedings.

kontech GmbH has started debtor-in-possession restructuring proceedings with a view to repositioning itself. Attorney Mr Steffen Beck from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH is providing support in his capacity as general agent and is advising management.

Kreiskliniken Dillingen-Wertingen gGmbH has initiated protective shield proceedings to position itself for the future with its hospitals at two locations. The company, represented by management, filed the relevant application. The Local Court of Nördlingen assented to this application and ordered provisional debtor-in-possession proceedings on 19 March 2025. The aim is to restructure the non-profit company with a view to stabilising its financial situation and ensuring sustainable medical care services in the region.

Within the context of insolvency proceedings, the PLUTA team under attorney Mr Daniel Barth and business lawyer Mr Maximilian Wanko is set to conduct the process of finding an investor for banke GmbH. The company, an innovative supplier of technology for breweries, has been involved in provisional insolvency proceedings since 14 March 2025. The Local Court of Landshut has appointed Mr Daniel Barth from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as provisional administrator.

The Local Court of Bremen opened insolvency proceedings for the assets of the relevant companies in the Vector Foiltec Group on 1 March 2025. Dr Christian Kaufmann from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH was appointed regular administrator. He had already been acting as provisional administrator for these companies. Vector Foiltec GmbH, Vector Foiltec Holding GmbH and Vector Foiltec Europe GmbH are all involved in insolvency proceedings, but not the various subsidiaries worldwide.
