Local Court of Aurich confirms Debtor-in-Possession Proceedings for SKN Group

  • Restructuring measures for the long-established printing and publishing group on course

The restructuring process for the SKN Group is still on course. As expected, the court responsible, the Local Court of Aurich, opened insolvency proceedings for the assets of the major companies in the SKN Group on 1 June 2018. In accordance with the relevant application, the local court ordered debtor-in-possession management and appointed Dr Christian Kaufmann as the insolvency monitor at the same time. This means that the SKN board of directors will continue to be in charge of managing the business.

Hagedorn acquires B+R site

The insolvency administrator Dr Stephan Thiemann from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH succeeded in selling the site belonging to Brüggershemke + Reinkemeier KG. The company filed for insolvency in September 2016. The new owner of the site is Hagedorn Revital GmbH based in Gütersloh, which will prepare a new concept for using the largest part of the site. The sales transaction was approved by the creditors’ assembly. Those responsible have agreed to maintain strict confidentiality about the purchase price.

Restructuring of Kannenberg Academy completed – ordinary Insolvency Proceedings opened

The debtor-in-possession proceedings for Akademie Lothar Kannenberg GmbH, which were monitored by the PLUTA restructuring expert Dr Kaufmann and his team, were ended on schedule following restructuring and the transfer of the last institute to an investor. The proceedings were transferred into ordinary insolvency proceedings by the Local Court of Walsrode.

The two insolvency administrators Mr Holger Christian Buehler and Mr Peter Roeger from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH have succeeded in finding an investor for the companies Per4mance Industries GmbH & Co KG and Per4mance Besitz GmbH & Co KG. The business operations and the facilities of the insolvent specialist manufacturer of exhaust systems were sold to a competitor in the same sector. The restructuring process was thus implemented as part of an asset deal, which became effective on 3 April 2018. All ten employees still working at the company were kept on by the new owner.

SHW Casting Technologies delivers Paper Roller weighing 66 Tons - PLUTA supports Debtor-in-Possession Proceedings
