Download as PDFInsolvency administrator Mr Georg Jakob Stemshorn from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has made further significant progress in the Post SV Augsburg e.V. proceedings. On 27 June 2025, the Siegmund Group signed the purchase agreement for Post SV Augsburg’s property and fitness studio. In parallel to this, the PLUTA restructuring expert submitted an insolvency plan to the competent court.
The Local Court of Augsburg (insolvency court) has scheduled a special meeting for mid-July at which a majority of the creditors will have to approve the solution. The club’s delegates will also need to give their approval to the insolvency plan. After that, the club can make a fresh start in summer 2025 and the proceedings can be terminated. Back in May, specialist attorney Mr Stemshorn achieved an investor solution with the Siegmund Group and initially concluded an exclusivity agreement. The Siegmund Group will not only acquire the property but also provide Post SV Augsburg e.V. and TSV Haunstetten e.V. with a stable future outlook through fair leasing models.
“Now that the purchase agreement has been signed and the insolvency plan submitted, we have achieved two key steps in the restructuring of Post SV Augsburg,” said Mr Georg Jakob Stemshorn. The PLUTA team also includes Ms Martina Kaderabek, business lawyers Mr Maximilian König, Ms Anna Beck and
Ms Marina Weber and law graduate Ms Maralen Peischer.
Siegmund Group commits to long-term engagement
Post SV members will continue to be able to use the facilities without restriction. The fitness studio will also remain available – including the options for renewing existing memberships. The groundwork for this has been established through the lease contracts already concluded with the new owner.
In addition to acquiring the club’s property, the Siegmund Group has pledged to actively support its long-term development through a multi-year sponsorship agreement. The aim is to stabilise the club’s finances and further develop its sports offering. “We believe that sports clubs like Post SV Augsburg have a social responsibility that goes beyond just business. With our engagement, we are intentionally supporting the continuation and growth of local sports opportunities – particularly for children and senior citizens,” said Mr Daniel Siegmund, managing director of the Siegmund Group.
Sticking with tradition while shaping the future
The long-standing club is an integral part of local social and community life. It filed for insolvency in February. A comprehensive analysis of the club’s economic circumstances and financial situation was conducted during the proceedings under the direction of the insolvency administrator, Mr Stemshorn. He said, “I would like to thank everyone who has been constructively supporting the proceedings from the outset and has made it possible for us to achieve this solution. I am especially grateful to the buyer, Mr Daniel Siegmund, board members Mr Heinz Krötz, Dr Sonja Rapp, Ms Tatjana Dörfler and Mr Dirk Wurm and the creditors holding a lien on the club’s property, namely Stadtsparkasse Augsburg, BLSV e.V., the city of Augsburg and Mr Peter Kögl. I would also like to thank Mr Peter Weidner and TSV Haunstetten for their support.”
Club president Mr Heinz Krötz is also relieved: “We have been able to maintain the sports activities at all times during the proceedings. The present solution gives us the outlook we need to reposition the club from a sporting and financial perspective and to develop further in a targeted way.”
