UK BTG partner invests in growth

28 January 2021 · Ulm

PLUTA has been successfully cooperating with partners around the world as a member of BTG Global Advisory (BTG GA) – an international network of restructuring and insolvency experts – for many years. The whole network is now set to benefit from the network partner in the UK, the Begbies Traynor Group, having completed its largest acquisition in the insolvency arena to date. The takeover of law firm CVR Global will allow Begbies Traynor to expand in England. It will also further enhance its expertise and offering in the areas of corporate restructuring and consulting.

CVR operates from seven UK offices and has offshore offices in Gibraltar, Jersey, Cyprus and the British Virgin Islands. Its specialisms include restructuring and insolvency proceedings.

Restructuring expert Mr Ivo-Meinert Willrodt coordinates activities in the BTG GA network for PLUTA: He said, “Brexit has changed how German companies approach insolvency law issues in the United Kingdom. For example, the European Insolvency Regulation can no longer be applied there. It is very beneficial for us to now have additional expertise in this area in our network. Through our cooperation with BTG Global Advisory, PLUTA can offer advisory services across several countries.” The network currently consists of ten partners from the USA, Europe, Asia, Australia and South Africa.

BTG Global Advisory is a network of independent insolvency and restructuring companies. The group offers tailored solutions for companies in crisis situations. The network further expanded its international presence only recently with the addition of a partner in Russia, ftt partners.
