PLUTA Restructuring Expert Dr Kaufmann launches Process to find an Investor for Coffee Capsule Producer

• Velibre GmbH based in Bremen filed for insolvency
• Start-up company developing coffee capsules from paper

Velibre GmbH, a Bremen-based coffee capsule producer, filed for insolvency proceedings to be opened for its assets. Following this, the Local Court of Bremen ordered provisional insolvency proceedings and appointed Dr Christian Kaufmann from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as the provisional administrator on 21 January 2019.

After successfully developing biodegradable coffee capsules, the company has recently been working on the development of a paper capsule. The development work has already reached an advanced stage. However, due to the high development costs, the company most recently did not have the necessary funds.

“We have already launched the process of finding an investor. The young company has the know-how required and also innovative products. We are therefore seeking for an investor willing to carry on the successful work previously done so that the paper capsule can be made ready for the market,” said the attorney Dr Kaufmann. The PLUTA restructuring expert is already holding initial discussions with potential investors. His team also includes the attorney Mr André Gildehaus.
