PLUTA attorney Peter Roeger appointed as provisional administrator for cleaning company MIR

4 August 2021 · Würzburg · Business Area Insolvency Administration

Provisional insolvency administrator Mr Peter Roeger from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH is in the process of holding initial talks with parties interested in cleaning company MIR Gebäudereinigung und Dienstleistungen GmbH. The company, based in Schwebheim, Bavaria, filed for insolvency two weeks ago.

The Local Court of Schweinfurt ordered provisional insolvency proceedings to be opened for the assets of MIR Gebäudereinigung und Dienstleistungen GmbH on 21 July 2021. PLUTA restructuring expert Mr Peter Roeger has been appointed as the provisional administrator. Filing for insolvency became inevitable for the building cleaning company due to liquidity problems. According to information provided by the company, orders received declined significantly over the last 18 months due to the coronavirus pandemic. Insolvency proceedings now offer the company the opportunity to achieve a solution in the form of an asset deal. The PLUTA team is reviewing any options that may offer the company good prospects for the future.

The business continues to operate without restriction, in compliance with the applicable hygiene requirements. Orders will be completed according to plan for all customers. The company has a workforce of approximately 90, whose salaries are guaranteed for a period of three months thanks to specific substitute benefits provided under German insolvency law. The pre-financing of these benefits has already been arranged.

Attorney Mr Roeger has obtained an overview of the company’s financial situation over the past two weeks. “Business operations will carry on without restriction. So far, all customers have remained loyal to the company, and we were even able to obtain new orders. This is a good basis for the coming weeks. We are therefore confident that we will find a solution for the company,” said the PLUTA restructuring expert at this initial stage. He is being supported in the proceedings by business lawyer Mr Holger Ch. Buehler.

The origins of MIR Gebäudereinigung und Dienstleistungen GmbH go back to 1992. The family-owned business specialises in cleaning buildings. Its services include the cleaning of offices, medical practices, glass façades, public facilities and industrial plant and machinery, as well as post-construction cleaning and special cleaning projects. In addition, the company also offers caretaker services and comprehensive craftsman services.
