PLUTA attorney Ivo-Meinert Willrodt appointed provisional administrator for metron Vilshofen GmbH

metron Vilshofen GmbH, a company specialising in trade fair, event and interior construction, has filed for insolvency. On 30 November 2022, the Local Court of Passau ordered provisional insolvency proceedings and appointed Mr Ivo-Meinert Willrodt from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as provisional administrator.

metron Vilshofen GmbH has built up a good reputation in the industry over its many years in business. However, the indefinite postponement of several large orders, that had been firmly committed to, led to a considerable drop in sales and, ultimately, a liquidity shortage. In the end, management had no choice but to file for insolvency.

Investor sought as strong partner

Together with management, the provisional insolvency administrator gave the 100 or so employees an update on the latest situation during a meeting. Business operations are being maintained and employee salaries are guaranteed for the next few months. The PLUTA team has already taken the steps needed to secure pre-financing of the substitute benefits provided under German insolvency law.

PLUTA restructuring expert Mr Ivo-Meinert Willrodt said, “metron Vilshofen GmbH is well-known in the industry and operates internationally. We are currently on site to gain an overview of the situation, which includes holding plenty of discussions with all involved. Our aim is to stabilise the business and launch the process of finding an investor as soon as possible. With a strong partner by its side, the company would have very good prospects. The staff are highly knowledgeable, which is incredibly important in this industry.” Mr Ivo-Meinert Willrodt is being supported within the restructuring team by attorney Mr Wolfgang Bernhardt and Mr Hans-Christian Källner.

Managing director Mr Carsten Fritz stated, “We will support the provisional insolvency administrator to the best of our abilities. Our goal is to find an investor for our company and put it on a financially secure footing for the future.”
