PLUTA attorney Dr Christian Kaufmann launches process of finding investor for Sande Stahlguss GmbH

22 September 2025 · Oldenburg · Business Area Insolvency Administration

The search for an investor for Sande Stahlguss GmbH has been officially launched. Provisional insolvency administrator Dr Christian Kaufmann from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has initiated a structured M&A process to ensure the company’s survival and prosperity. The aim is to secure a strategic partner or financial investor that will strengthen the company’s long-term future.

“We are already speaking with a number of interested parties who have proactively reached out to us. Alongside this, we have launched a structured process aimed at securing an investor. Our goal is to ensure clear and transparent proceedings and to find a good solution quickly and efficiently,” said Dr Kaufmann. “Sande Stahlguss has an experienced team and long-standing customer relationships. A suitable investor will be able to use this as the basis for steering the company to long-term stability.” In addition to Dr Kaufmann, the PLUTA restructuring team working on administering the proceedings is comprised of attorneys Ms Natalia Leo and Mr Alexander Bortfeldt and management experts Ms Nicole Neumerkel and Ms Vivien Doll. The team expects to receive indicative offers by the end of October. These will then be reviewed in coordination with the provisional creditors’ committee, with the aim of completing the signing process by late November.

Sande Stahlguss GmbH is a long-standing foundry in Sande in the district of Friesland and employs over 100 people. Their regular wages and salaries are guaranteed thanks to specific substitute benefits provided under German insolvency law. The company is continuing to fulfil all customer orders reliably.

Managing director Mr Ralf Stölting emphasised the importance of the investor process: “We are now squarely focused on finding a partner that will further develop our company and safeguard the employees’ jobs. With the support of Dr Kaufmann and his team as well as all other relevant parties, we are confident that we can achieve a sustainable solution together.”

The M&A process is being supported by the experts at Knight Wendling GmbH under Mr Dr. Klaus Schmitz-Cohnen and at FalkenSteg under Mr Jonas Eckhardt.
