Download as PDFerlebnistage gGmbH has provided an update on its restructuring under ongoing debtor-in-possession proceedings. The company remains fully operational at all three of its locations (Lake Schwerin, the Harz Mountains and the Bavarian Forest). The business is showing positive momentum, and the company has sufficient funding to cover all costs through to November 2025. All planned class and group excursions are taking place.
erlebnistage gGmbH currently has 65 employees – a further modest rise compared to March 2025 and proof that the restructuring is going well. Staff and business partners remain committed to supporting the company’s continued operation, while customer interest in and demand for class and group excursions are currently very strong and expected to remain high for the second half of 2025. erlebnistage gGmbH specialises in providing outdoor education experiences though class and group excursions that foster sustainable education and personal development. The organisation offers unique programmes promoting activity-based and experience-driven learning at three locations.
The company is continuing to work on a long-term restructuring solution and is engaged in advanced discussions with potential investors as part of the restructuring process. Managing director Mr Holger Seidel said, “There is significant demand for outdoor education class and group excursions, and our offering is very popular. We are happy with how the business is developing and are working on a solution that will keep it operating in the long term and ensure sustainable future prospects for our staff, business partners and customers.”
Restructuring experts Mr Philip Konen and Mr Ludwig Stern from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH are supporting the debtor-in-possession proceedings as general agents. The PLUTA team also includes attorneys Mr Ingo Thurm and Ms Denise Schäfer and business management expert Mr Luca Reifenberg. Mr Tobias Hartwig from law firm Schultze & Braun is overseeing the proceedings as insolvency monitor in the interests of creditors.
Mr Philip Konen said, “We are holding good, constructive discussions with several potential investors. In view of the strong interest, we are confident of achieving a restructuring solution over the summer.”
Insolvency monitor Mr Tobias Hartwig said, “An investor will give erlebnistage prospects for the future. The restructuring is going to plan, and the good cooperation between the parties involved is especially noteworthy. All are aware of the importance of what erlebnistage offers and are pulling together on this.”
Debtor-in-possession proceedings are in-court restructuring proceedings to rescue and rehabilitate financially distressed companies. Management remains in charge and guides the company concerned through the proceedings itself with support from restructuring experts. The court appoints an insolvency monitor to oversee the proceedings in the interests of the creditors.
