Download as PDFTour operator WE-Flytour has decided to cancel all booked trips with a departure date of 1 January 2025 or later. The relevant parties have already informed customers and travel agencies about this step.
The decision has not been an easy one for the business, and management deeply regrets the associated impact on customers and partners. All bookings already made will have to be cancelled. Given the ongoing insolvency proceedings, it is not possible for the trips to go ahead in the present circumstances.
The German Travel Insurance Fund (DRSF) was immediately informed about the situation. WE-Flytour is liaising closely with DRSF in the interests of customers. It is committed to maintaining maximum transparency in this situation and to keeping its customers and partners abreast of further developments. The company would like to apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused.
The PLUTA team starts searching for an investor
WE-Flytour GmbH has been involved in insolvency proceedings since late November 2024. Ms Heike Metzger from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH is acting as provisional insolvency administrator in the proceedings. The PLUTA team has already started the process of finding an investor and is holding discussions with potential investors. The aim is to find a solution for the business in its entirety or to sell individual assets of the company.
PLUTA attorney Ms Metzger said, “We have already held initial discussions with interested parties and will carry on with these talks.” Ms Heike Metzger is being supported in the proceedings by attorney Mr Heinz-Joachim Hombach.
WE-Flytour has a staff of 18 employees, whose salaries are guaranteed for a period of three months thanks to specific substitute benefits provided under German insolvency law.
