PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has issued a warning about a current scam involving cybercriminals posing as insolvency administrators and offering by email to sell insolvency goods that simply do not exist.

With immediate effect, PLUTA’s Nuremberg branch office can be found at its new location in the Business Tower. The address is: Ostendstrasse 100, 90482 Nürnberg. The telephone and fax numbers remain the same. The PLUTA team has rented modern office space on the building’s twelfth floor.

PLUTA’s Herford branch has been at a new location since 2 December 2024.

PLUTA Management announces the promotion of Simon Eickmann to Partner. As financial advisor and experienced restructuring specialist, Simon has already been part of the team since 2016 and focuses on restructuring and turnaround management as well as transaction advisory in corporate M&A deals.

Strengthening its market position in Germany, PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH opened a new branch office in Wiesbaden in February. This further expands its local presence in the Rhine-Main region, especially in the area of insolvency administration. The new branch is located at Wilhelminenstraße 50, 65193 Wiesbaden.

Mr Sascha Witt joined PLUTA Management GmbH on 1 April 2024. An expert in residential and commercial property, he will expand PLUTA’s offering in the real estate segment across Germany. The 53-year-old is based in the Hamburg branch office.

Gravenbrucher Kreis e. V. has admitted Mr Stefan Meyer, managing partner of PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH, as a new member. Mr Stefan Meyer becomes the nineteenth active member of this association comprising Germany’s top national insolvency administrators and restructuring experts.

Attorney Mr Nikolaus Röver was appointed partner at PLUTA Management GmbH on 1 March 2024. The experienced M&A and restructuring expert will be responsible for expanding the company’s M&A transaction services.

Attorney Mr Heinz-Joachim Hombach has been named partner at PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH effective 1 January of this year. The restructuring expert has many years of experience in turning around companies and is regularly appointed insolvency administrator by courts.

PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has issued a warning about new cases of online fraud involving cybercriminals posing as attorneys and insolvency administrators and offering to sell products of supposedly insolvent companies.

The European Insolvency Practitioners Association (EIP) re-elected PLUTA managing partner Mr Ivo-Meinert Willrodt as its president as part of its board elections at this year’s general meeting. He has been in office since the beginning of 2022 and will continue to lead EIP’s activities for the next two years. Mr Willrodt, a specialist attorney for insolvency and restructuring law with more than 20 years of experience, has been a member of the EIP Executive Committee since 2018.

The PLUTA restructuring company has announced a notable addition to its ranks. Effective 1 September 2023, chartered accountant and tax advisor Mr Bernd Richter will move from Ernst & Young GmbH (EY) to PLUTA, having left the former on 30 June 2023 on reaching the retirement age of 62.

PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has received yet another prestigious award. WirtschaftsWoche, a leading German business magazine, has listed PLUTA as a top law firm in the field of insolvency law for 2023. Attorneys Mr Michael Pluta and Mr Stefan Meyer have also been named among the best-regarded insolvency law attorneys.

PLUTA has been a member of BTG Global Advisory (BTGGA), an international network of independent consulting and restructuring firms, for several years. BTGGA has welcomed a new partner from Israel to its network – law firm Gissin & Co. Advocates.

Mr Heinz-Joachim Hombach will support PLUTA partners Dr Stephan Thiemann and Mr Stefan Kahnt as deputy branch manager in the future. Mr Hombach will also become an authorised signatory for the Chemnitz office and continue to carry out activities for the Berlin branch.
