Restructuring expert Sebastian Laboga now a managing partner at PLUTA

Mr Sebastian Laboga became a managing partner of PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH on 1 January 2022. The experienced attorney, a managing director and partner of PLUTA, has been in charge of the branch offices in Berlin, Bochum, Dortmund, Essen and Erfurt since early 2020.

The other managing directors and partners of PLUTA are Mr Steffen Beck, Mr Torsten Gutmann, Mr Stefan Meyer, Dr Maximilian Pluta, Mr Michael Pluta, Dr Stephan Thiemann and Mr Ivo-Meinert Willrodt.

Mr Sebastian Laboga is one of Germany’s most frequently appointed insolvency administrators and has extensive experience in the area of debtor-in-possession proceedings. He is also regularly appointed insolvency monitor, such as in the proceedings conducted for iron foundry Eisengießerei Torgelow GmbH.

Mr Laboga joined the restructuring company PLUTA with his 40-strong team in Berlin and the Ruhr region two years ago. This significantly strengthened the PLUTA branch office in the German capital in particular.

He is a member of the German Association of Insolvency Administrators (VID) and was listed in the ‘Germany’s Best Lawyers’ category by German business daily Handelsblatt in 2020 (in the field of restructuring and insolvency law) and among the most successful insolvency administrators by German business magazine WirtschaftsWoche in 2021.
