Together with his team, the attorney Stefan Meyer has already obtained an initial overview of the company’s situation. The PLUTA restructuring expert said: “We are continuing the full scope of business operations. The customers can continue ordering and will receive their goods on time.” The objective of the provisional insolvency administrator is to give the traditional company, which was founded in 1963, good prospects of a successful future.

Lohmeier Schaltschrank-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG only have commercial customers, both major companies and SMEs, whether resident in Germany or abroad. The products are sold not only Europe-wide but also worldwide, especially in Australia and Russia. Most recently, the company has managed to generate annual revenues of around 11 million euros. The reason for filing for insolvency is liquidity problems.

The attorney Stefan Meyer will arrange for the pre-financing of the insolvency substitute benefits as soon as possible, which will ensure that employee wages and salaries are secure for a period of three months. The Vlotho-based company has a workforce of 91 employees. On account of company holidays until 2 January 2017, it has not been possible to inform staff about the insolvency application being filed. However, the chairperson of the works council has already been informed by the management and the insolvency administrator’s team. A staff meeting will take place on 2 January 2017 in order to inform the employees.

Lohmeier Schaltschrank-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG was given advice on filing for insolvency by the attorney Olaf Handschuh from the law firm Handschuh + Lehmann. In addition, the company is being helped to implement restructuring measures by the consulting firm B3S Management-Beratungs GmbH & Co. KG.
