Download as PDFMedizin Campus Bodensee (MCB) has applied for insolvency for its two healthcare centres with the Local Court of Ravensburg, as the competent court. On 28 May 2025, Mr Steffen Beck from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH was then appointed provisional insolvency administrator for both companies, namely Medizinisches Versorgungszentrum GmbH at Friedrichshafen Hospital and Medizinisches Versorgungszentrum Tettnang GmbH.
Both healthcare centres are continuing to provide medical services without restriction. All agreed outpatient appointments remain valid. Management informed the some 90 employees at the locations in Friedrichshafen, Tettnang and Kressbronn of the latest developments last Friday. The aim is to maintain the outpatient facilities and find a long-term solution for the healthcare centres. Both companies incurred losses in 2024.
Ms Anthea Mayer, managing director of Medizin Campus Bodensee, said, “We are continuing to operate and our staff are there for patients. Given the financial situation, the healthcare centres have to be restructured. We therefore had no choice but to take action and have filed the applications for both companies. We are confident that a long-term solution can be found within the framework of the proceedings. We will work closely with the provisional insolvency administrator on this.”
The employees’ salaries are guaranteed for a period of three months thanks to specific substitute benefits provided under German insolvency law. The PLUTA team will arrange for pre-financing of these so that the salaries can be paid as usual.
In an initial statement, PLUTA attorney Mr Steffen Beck said, “We have already held preliminary discussions. The businesses are continuing to operate. This is important news for patients. Over the coming weeks, we will closely analyse the financial situation and review the restructuring options.”
