Download as PDFBy an order issued on 1 April 2022, the Local Court of Bielefeld has opened insolvency proceedings for the assets of Steinkamp GmbH & Co. KG and appointed attorney Mr Stefan Meyer from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as insolvency administrator. Prior to this, Mr Meyer, an attorney specialising in insolvency law, had been involved as provisional administrator since 28 December 2021.
As was the case during the provisional insolvency proceedings, the company will continue to operate without restrictions now that the regular proceedings have been opened. Steinkamp GmbH & Co. KG employs around 110 people and specialises in tools and moulds, contract and prototype manufacturing, and series production. To this end, it has a modern machine park with a range of special machines that allow it to respond flexibly and precisely to customer requirements. Customers can continue to place their orders without restrictions and obtain products with the usual high quality that Steinkamp has been delivering for many years. The insolvency administrator aims to find a restructuring solution for the long-established company, which was founded in 1970, as quickly as possible.
The PLUTA restructuring expert said, “The process of finding an investor is going well. Given how the company’s financial figures in relation to its operations have steadied since the application for insolvency was filed and the very stable order situation, there is no need to make hasty decisions during the process of finding an investor. We want to achieve a robust, permanent restructuring and follow-up solution that will also meet the key objective in the proceedings of ensuring the best possible satisfaction of creditors. Therefore, we would also welcome enquiries from other interested parties. The employees, who were recently informed about the latest developments at a staff meeting, remain highly motivated and are pulling together with us. I am therefore optimistic that we will achieve the best possible solution for both the employees and the creditors.” In addition to insolvency administrator Mr Meyer, the team also includes attorney Mr Christoph Chrobok and business lawyer Mr Tim Austmeyer, among others.
The origins and foundations of Steinkamp GmbH & Co. KG, a family business specialising in tools and moulds, contract and prototype manufacturing, and series production, date back to 1970, when the company was established by the father of current managing partner Mr Lars Steinkamp.
