Download as PDFOn 11 November 2025, the Local Court of Amberg ordered provisional insolvency administration for the assets of Uplifter GmbH & Co. KG and appointed attorney Mr Daniel Barth from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as provisional administrator.
The PLUTA team led by attorney Mr Daniel Barth and business lawyer Mr Holger Christian Buehler have already visited the business and gained an initial overview. The company specialising in lifting technology remains fully operational. It is also continuing to offer product rentals and all other services.
The company has a workforce of 75 employees whose salaries are guaranteed thanks to specific substitute benefits provided under German insolvency law. Managing director Mr Martin Lobinger said, “The team fully supports the company’s efforts and wants to see it remain in business. We have had to file for insolvency due to the difficult economic environment and the general market situation.”
Mr Daniel Barth said, “We are keeping the business operating while we look for a long-term solution for it. We will therefore start the process of finding an investor in the near future.” A number of interested parties have already been in touch. The PLUTA team will now hold discussions with potential investors. Mr Barth and Mr Buehler are confident that a long-term solution can be found.
Business with multiple locations
Uplifter specialises in lifting and transport solutions. It offers a large selection of its own products, such as various mini-cranes as well as glass lifting and handling equipment, which it sells and rents. Founded in 2001 by Mr Martin Lobinger, the midsize company has grown into a recognised brand. The business is based in Guteneck in the Upper Palatinate region and has a production facility in neighbouring Nabburg. The company also has six rental and sales locations in Hallbergmoos in Upper Bavaria, Mömbris in Lower Franconia, Lobbach in Baden-Württemberg, Velbert in North Rhine-Westphalia, Seevetal in Lower Saxony and Oberkrämer in Brandenburg.
Founder and managing director Mr Martin Lobinger said, “Our company has been in business for more than 20 years and offers high-quality lifting and vacuum technology products. The conditions in the industry are far from easy at this time, but I remain optimistic about the future. We hope that an investor will recognise the potential here and acquire the business.”
