PLUTA attorney Philip Konen seeks new operator for Hamburg restaurant TamTam

Attorney Mr Philip Konen from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has launched the process of finding an investor for Tasty Planet GmbH. By its decision taken on 2 July 2026, the Local Court of Frankfurt ordered provisional insolvency proceedings for the company’s assets and appointed the Frankfurt-based attorney as provisional administrator.

The business operates Hamburg’s well-known TamTam restaurant, which is currently closed as operations have been temporarily suspended. There is a possibility that operations may resume, but this mainly depends on whether a party is interested in acquiring the business. The company has a workforce of 16 employees.

PLUTA attorney Mr Philip Konen said, “We have held initial discussions with all involved and are urgently seeking an investor for the business. We would be pleased to hear from any interested parties.” The PLUTA team also comprises attorneys Ms Denise Schäfer and Mr Philipp Meyer.

Restaurant space covering approx. 2,000 square metres

The Local Court of Frankfurt am Main has ordered provisional insolvency administration, as Tasty Planet GmbH is headquartered and has its administrative offices in Frankfurt am Main. The business operates the TamTam restaurant in Hamburg’s Hanse district. The restaurant space is run by Tasty Planet GmbH but not owned by it and covers approximately 2,000 square metres.

TamTam offers a variety of cuisines, has a central bar area and regularly hosts events. The managing director is Mr Tim Plasse, who has been a recognised figure in the German gastronomy and hospitality industry for many years. The operating company has had to file for insolvency due to liquidity problems and is currently involved in provisional insolvency proceedings. Those in charge are in the process of examining the conditions for the opening of regular insolvency proceedings.
