PLUTA attorney Philip Konen secures future of IT company cosee

cosee GmbH had filed for insolvency with the Local Court of Darmstadt, as the competent court, due to liquidity problems. On 2 June 2026, the court then ordered provisional insolvency administration and appointed PLUTA attorney Mr Philip Konen as provisional administrator. On 1 September 2026, the court opened the proceedings and appointed Mr Philip Konen as regular insolvency administrator. The PLUTA team also comprises attorney Mr Sebastian Weyland.

Founded as a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology in 2009, cosee GmbH develops bespoke software solutions for customers in various sectors. It assembles tailored teams of experts for the entire innovation process – from the assessment of the initial business ideas and the development of software and prototypes through to product management, technical implementation and market launch.

Business operations maintained since filing for insolvency

Despite the filing, those in charge have kept the IT company fully operational. The business provided services to customers as usual during the provisional proceedings and continued working on ongoing projects. It has an experienced team and extensive expertise in the development of digital products and solutions. This provided a solid basis for the process of finding an investor, which has now been successfully concluded. The experts at Redwood Partners supported the M&A process.

PLUTA attorney Mr Philip Konen said, “The business has continued to operate over the past three months and the employees have supported customers as usual. With the sale to a strategic investor, we have managed to create a sustainable basis for the future of the company and its employees. This is also the best possible outcome for the creditors.”

Haeger Consulting GmbH in Bonn provides IT consultancy services and develops tailored solutions based on the latest technology. It focuses on IT projects, specialising in particular in software development, software architecture, test automation and DevOps.
