Download as PDFInsolvency administrator Mr Ilkin Bananyarli from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has announced good news for Wilfried Rein GmbH, a business specialising in metalworking and precision manufacturing: the process to secure an investor has been successfully concluded. WESA GmbH, a renowned metalworking company based in Waldstetten, will acquire the key assets and operational infrastructure of the business by way of an asset deal and keep on all 30 or so employees. Those in charge have already signed the relevant agreements. The transfer will take effect on 1 October 2026.
Wilfried Rein GmbH based in Bissingen an der Teck has been specialising in precision manufacturing of metal parts since 1989. In addition to manufacturing precision CNC turned parts and gearwheels, the company provides turning, gear cutting and complete machining services to numerous customers in different industries, including the construction trade.
Operations successfully maintained since insolvency application
The business filed for insolvency in April 2026. On 1 July 2026, the Local Court of Esslingen opened the insolvency proceedings and appointed Mr Ilkin Bananyarli from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as administrator. He and his team led by attorneys Mr Sven Heuser and Ms Marie-Louise Hölz have kept the business operating without restriction since the application was filed. Even after the insolvency proceedings were opened, all orders have still been dealt with as usual. The restructuring expert also initiated a structured M&A process and held discussions with potential investors. Mr Tobias Rager and Mr Justin Gornas from allea consult have been responsible for the M&A process, which has now been concluded following the agreement reached.
“The investor solution represents a very good outcome for Wilfried Rein GmbH. It was crucial for us to find a commercially sound solution. We wanted to give the business a viable future and save as many jobs as possible while achieving the best possible outcome for the creditors. We have succeeded in this,” said insolvency administrator Mr Ilkin Bananyarli.
Continuation of the business
The acquisition plan also envisages the continuation of the present facility in Bissingen an der Teck. However, the specific implementation is still subject to final agreement on the site, lease and property arrangements.
Mr Johannes Weber, managing director of WESA GmbH, said, “Wilfried Rein GmbH has many years of precision manufacturing experience, a modern machine fleet and, most importantly, a skilled and well-established team. We want to build on this, maintain the existing customer relationships and further develop the company in the long term. We are looking forward to taking the next steps together with the employees.”
