PLUTA attorney Frank Schorisch appointed provisional insolvency administrator for WIEMO

20 November 2024 · Herford · Business Area Insolvency Administration

WIEMO Wiehengebirgs-Molkerei Unterlübbe KG from Hille has filed for insolvency. Following this, on 7 November 2024, the Local Court of Bielefeld ordered provisional insolvency administration for the company’s assets and appointed attorney Mr Frank Schorisch from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as provisional administrator.

The business with 18 employees will remain fully operational, as approved by the provisional insolvency administrator. The employees’ salaries are guaranteed for a period of three months thanks to specific substitute benefits provided under German insolvency law.

The provisional insolvency administrator and his team, which includes tax consultant Mr Martin Klee, is in the process of gaining an overview of the company’s current financial situation and the reasons why it had to file for insolvency.

More than 90 years of experience in the dairy business

Established in 1929, the dairy is now run by the founder’s grandson, the third generation of the family at its helm. The company uses raw milk sourced mainly from the Minden-Lübbecke district, Lower Saxony and the Münsterland region to produce premium dairy products such as whole milk, cream, sour cream, rich sour cream, crème fraîche, yoghurt and quark as well as customised specialities.
