Download as PDFRestructuring expert Mr Michael Wahl from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has sold the main assets of Kick GmbH to GRAEWER Tooling Technology GmbH as of 1 August 2025. The attorney has therefore achieved the ideal solution for the Göppingen-based tooling company in the process of finding an investor.
The buyer has acquired the business operations and will maintain mould making, services and technical expertise with the usual quality and familiar contacts. The asset deal ensures the survival of the business, which will operate under the name GRAEWER Tooling Technology going forward. All employees have been kept on at the Göppingen site.
GRAEWER Tooling Technology GmbH is part of the GRAEWER Group based in Dettingen unter Teck. For customers, the takeover means that all ongoing projects will continue. All services offered to date will be maintained – complemented by new synergies with GRAEWER subsidiaries. Managing director Mr Marc-André Graewer said, “This is the perfect acquisition. Integrating the business into the GRAEWER Group will unlock new opportunities for it. We provide combined expertise, streamlined processes and a complete offering from development to the finished component – all from a single source.”
Business kept operational for months
Kick GmbH based in Göppingen has been involved in insolvency proceedings since mid-March 2025. The court appointed Mr Michael Wahl from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as administrator on 1 June 2025. Prior to that, he had been acting as provisional administrator for the company. The business remained fully operational even after the proceedings were opened.
The company specialises in the manufacture and repair of injection moulds and the production of injection-moulded parts. Its customers operate in various industries, including the automotive, construction, toy and medtech sectors.
Attorney Mr Michael Wahl said, “Our goal was to keep the business operating and secure an investor. With the GRAEWER Group, we have found the ideal investor.”
On the insolvency administrator’s side, PLUTA attorney Mr Markus Fünning (contract law) was involved in the transaction. Mr Stefan Cornelißen from ADWIN Consulting GmbH was responsible for the M&A process.
