Download as PDFWell-known sandwich company Strahmann in Frankfurt am Main will be preserved. Insolvency administrator Ms Christiane Patricia Herweg from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has found a follow-up solution for the insolvent operating company FCS Feinkost Catering Strahmann GmbH.
Effective 1 March 2025, the newly founded Strahmann Food Concept GmbH will acquire the business operations and keep on everyone employed by the company, which was founded back in 1987. The new company will be headed by Mr Oliver Scheer, who was the operations manager for the previous business.
Attorney Ms Christiane Patricia Herweg has kept the business operating for around a year with the support of business lawyer Ms Selina Senf and others. The team negotiated with business partners, spoke with potential investors and acted as an intermediary between the investor and landlord to find a viable solution.
PLUTA restructuring expert Ms Herweg said, “Recent months have shown that the business is economically viable. The solution now found will preserve the sandwich company and ensure customers can still enjoy its tried-and-tested offering. Creditors will also benefit, as it will increase their recovery rate.”
“Familiar with the business and its potential”
The new operator is also feeling optimistic about the future. Managing director Mr Oliver Scheer is looking forward to the challenges ahead: “Having been a manager in the company for many years, I am very familiar with the business and its potential. I am excited to take the next steps on this journey as managing director and set new priorities with the team.” The company’s fame has travelled even beyond the confines of Frankfurt thanks to its speciality focaccia, sandwiches and other snacks. It has also been providing a comprehensive catering service for offices located in Frankfurt and nearby areas since early 2024. The shop at Bethmannstraße 58 in Frankfurt is open at its usual times from early morning to late afternoon.
The Local Court of Königstein/Taunus ordered provisional insolvency administration for the assets of FCS Feinkost Catering Strahmann GmbH on 10 April 2024. On 2 July 2024, the court opened the proceedings and appointed Ms Christiane Patricia Herweg as regular insolvency administrator. She had previously been involved as provisional administrator.
