PLUTA attorney Sebastian Laboga appointed provisional administrator for VSG Altglienicke Berlin Fußball GmbH

29 November 2024 · Berlin, Germany · Business Area Insolvency Administration

The Local Court of Charlottenburg ordered provisional insolvency proceedings for the assets of VSG Altglienicke Berlin Fußball GmbH on 26 November 2024. Mr Sebastian Laboga, an insolvency expert from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH, has been appointed provisional administrator.

Mr Laboga has already held an initial discussion with the managing director of the football club. The team is continuing to fulfil its fixtures. VSG Altglienicke Berlin Fußball GmbH is the football operations company spun off from the club, which plays in the Regionalliga Nordost (fourth tier of German football, for clubs located in the north east).

Mr Daniel Böhm, managing director of VSG Altglienicke Berlin Fußball GmbH, said, “I had a very good discussion with the administrator today. We will provide all of the documents and do everything necessary to facilitate the withdrawal of the application for insolvency. Then we will be able to leave this matter behind us.” Today’s match was cancelled due to poor pitch conditions and not on account of the provisional proceedings. The next matches are expected to go ahead as planned.

The football club’s business operations are continuing without any disruption. Mr Sebastian Laboga said, “We are holding discussions with all stakeholders. If all requirements are met and there is no reason for insolvency, then a withdrawal of the application will be an option.” Mr Laboga is being supported in the proceedings by attorney Mr Nicolas Konkel.

VSG Altglienicke Berlin Fußball GmbH is involved in provisional insolvency proceedings. The provisional administrator is currently reviewing whether the business is truly insolvent. The application for insolvency may be withdrawn at any time during the provisional proceedings. Only once the regular insolvency proceedings are opened will this no longer be an option.
