Download as PDFStörk Metallbearbeitung GmbH based in Bad Saulgau has been involved in insolvency proceedings for the past four weeks, with attorney Mr Michael Wahl from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH having been appointed provisional administrator. The restructuring expert has now initiated the process of finding an investor for the company.
On 10 July 2025, the Local Court of Ravensburg ordered provisional insolvency administration. The application had been filed due to liquidity problems caused by declining sales and increased prices of raw and other materials. The company manufactures custom metal parts. Its customers include mechanical engineering firms, manufacturers of construction and agricultural machinery, and providers of drive technology. The company’s origins go back to 1928.
Störk Metallbearbeitung GmbH had 48 employees when it filed for insolvency. Their wage and salary entitlements are covered by specific substitute benefits provided under German insolvency law. The business remains fully operational. The intention behind the structured M&A process is to now find an investor to acquire the company by way of an asset deal.
“We have held good discussions with customers in recent weeks and ensured they will be supplied without interruption. The company is continuing to operate, and orders are being completed on schedule. At the same time, we have now initiated an M&A process. Our aim is to find an investor who will further develop the business and ensure its long-term existence,” said PLUTA attorney Mr Michael Wahl, providing an update on the current state of the proceedings. The PLUTA team also includes business lawyer Mr Alexander Kogut (LL.B.).
