Mr Steffen Beck from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has succeeded in finding a long-term solution for the printing company Druckerei Hertle GmbH. finkmedia GmbH, an experienced competitor in the printing industry, will take over Hertle’s business operations with effect from 1 January 2019 and absorb all the staff. The contracts were signed today. The 18 employees have already been informed of the solution during an all-hands meeting called by the employer.

SHW CT in Wasseralfingen will most probably have to end business operations in the first quarter of 2019. This decision was taken after a unanimous resolution had been passed by the creditors’ assembly with the approval of the insolvency monitor. The reason for this is the lack of interest shown by investors in a takeover and a considerable slump in new orders in the past few weeks. The employees were informed of the imminent closure today during a staff meeting.

The debtor-in-possession management team responsible for SHW CT in Wasseralfingen and Machining Technologies in Königsbronn have withdrawn from the purchase agreement with the investor, Rheinische Mittelstandsbeteiligungs GmbH (RMB). This decision was taken after a unanimous resolution had been passed by the creditors’ assembly with the approval of the insolvency monitor. The reason for this decision is the investor’s financial difficulties. Recently, Hulvershorn Eisengießerei GmbH & Co. KG, a private equity firm in the RMB Group, was forced to file for insolvency. The RMB Group was represented by the managing directors Mr Rainer J Langnickel and Dr Jan Hückel.

The insolvency administrator Dr Christian Kaufmann from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has found a new operator for the child, youth and family support institution “Synthese Kinder-, Jugend- und Familienhilfe GmbH & Co. Operations at the sites in Fröbelstraße, Lobbendorfer Straße and Buntentorsteinweg as well as the outpatient service have been taken over by the Bremen-based child and youth support institution “Bremer Kinder- und Jugendhilfe gGmbH” with effect from 1 October 2018. This means that the company has been restructured by way of an asset transfer and that Dr Kaufmann and his PLUTA team were able to preserve 33 jobs, i.e. approximately two thirds of the company’s previous staff. It has been agreed that the purchase price will not be published.

The purchase agreement has already been signed, and the creditors’ assembly unanimously approved the sale this week. In future, the company will be operating under the name “Holzverpackung Hüfingen GmbH” in Germany.

The restructuring process for the SKN Group is still on course. This means that the SKN board of directors will continue to be in charge of managing the business.
