PLUTA – a Dynamic Enterprise

PLUTA Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH has moved into its new site in Osnabrück. From henceforth, its office is located at 11a Niedersachsenstraße, 49074 Osnabrück. The address is all that has changed: other contact details remain the same.

PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH now has in Matuson & Associates a competent partner in South Africa. PLUTA has been operating internationally for many years, having their own branch offices abroad in Italy, Spain and Poland as well as collaborating with the BTG Global Advisory network. In addition to Europe, America, Asia and Australia, PLUTA now also has a BTG partner in the African continent active in the areas of insolvency administration and restructuring. This means that companies looking for someone to represent their interests in South Africa now have a local contact and benefit from the smooth collaboration offered by the cross-country network. The headquarters of the law firm Matuson & Associates are located in Johannesburg.

On 31 May 2016, PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH hosted a symposium on international insolvency law in Bremen. In the Grand Hall of the venerable Schütting House, home of the Bremen Chamber of Commerce, the PLUTA experts, Dr Christian Kaufmann, Mr Ivo-Meinert Willrodt, Dr Joaquim Sarrate and Prof Alessandro P. Scarso, provided information on the amendments to the European insolvency law. In addition to insolvency judges and judicial officers, the list of guests that were present at the event also included insolvency administrators, consultants and representatives of banks.

MEYER Rechtsanwälte Insolvenzverwalter will merge with PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH with effect from 1 April 2016. The law firm has a staff of 33 employees at six branch offices in Berlin, Hanover, Lübbecke, Münster, Osnabrück and Paderborn.

The insolvency administrator Mr. Ingo Thurm from Hanover and his nine-member team have joined PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH with effect from 1 January 2016. This means that the nationwide oriented company has consolidated its position further and is now one of the insolvency law firms with the most insolvency proceedings in Lower Saxony. With its 36 national branch offices, PLUTA is one of the largest insolvency and restructuring companies in Germany.
