PLUTA attorney Michael Wahl finds investor for mobility software provider remoso

PLUTA restructuring expert Mr Michael Wahl has succeeded in achieving an investor solution for software company remoso. Effective 1 April 2024, ACA GmbH based in Krauchenwies and Reutlingen has acquired remoso’s assets and all 30 employees at its sites in Ravensburg and Ettlingen by way of an asset deal.

remoso GmbH has been a leading provider of mobility software solutions for the past 30 years and more. The company develops new fleet management, vehicle rental and car-sharing applications. Its customers mainly operate in the automotive and mobility sectors and include large corporations as well as small and medium-sized enterprises, who benefit from tailored platform modules that save them time and money.

remoso GmbH has been involved in insolvency proceedings since November 2023 on account of liquidity problems. On 1 February 2024, the Local Court of Ravensburg appointed Mr Michael Wahl from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as insolvency administrator. The proceedings, initially launched under debtor-in-possession management, were opened as regular insolvency proceedings. Once the proceedings had been opened, attorney Mr Michael Wahl and his team kept the business operating and pushed ahead with the process of finding an investor for remoso, which has now been successfully concluded.

They have pulled together with us over recent weeks and therefore played a major part in achieving this positive outcome,” said attorney Mr Wahl. He is being supported in the proceedings by business management expert Mr Reinhard Wünsch.

Experienced investor

ACA GmbH has acquired extensive knowledge in the automotive segment in its 25 years as a web agency. Owner and managing director Mr Mathias R. Albert is, among other things, also the founder of the ViveLaCar mobility start-up based in Stuttgart, which was launched in 2019 and sold in 2023 to The Platform Group AG. He is also the owner of MediaTel, an advertising/PR agency that specialises in the automotive sector, and publishes the VW Speed and TUNING special interest magazines.

Mr Mathias R. Albert said, “The negotiations went very well. We intend to improve the customer experience using AI modules, apps and scalable cloud solutions. remoso will deliver the right software for subscriptions, rentals and sharing – all future sources of revenue.”
