Cross-border restructuring thanks to international network

PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH, member of the international network BTG Global Advisory, will in future increase their efforts to also offer international services for cross-border restructuring. “The network used to focus on insolvency administration, but nowadays the important pre-insolvency restructuring has been added to the range of services offered by BTG GA,” explained Dr. Martin Prager, who is responsible for PLUTA’s international business operations.

The model used for the collaboration of independent law firms has proved to be successful in the past few years. The geographic proximity to the companies as well as shared past experience and comprehensive restructuring knowledge provide an excellent basis for cross-border turnarounds. Above all, Dr. Maximilian Pluta, Head of the Restructuring Department at PLUTA, regards cross-border restructuring as added value for internationally operating customers: “Crisis-stricken companies with several sites in different countries will benefit from cross-border restructuring. Thanks to legal practices with high standards being networked, we are also in a position to conduct international restructuring efficiently.”

The network is set up on a global basis and covers wide parts of Europe, the USA, Canada and Asia. In this year, newcomers to the network included GlassRatner Advisory & Capital Group in the USA as well as Rodgers Reidy with headquarters in Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia and New Zeeland. Farber Financial Group in Canada as well as Begbies Traynor in the United Kingdom and Integrated Capital Services Limited in India have all been members of the network for several years now.
