Restructuring Expert Ivo-Meinert Willrodt finds Investor for GABO:mi

Mr Ivo-Meinert Willrodt from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has succeeded in finding a long-term solution for the project management company GABO:mi Gesellschaft für Ablauforganisation :milliarium mbH & Co. KG. With effect from 1 July 2016, the French enterprise ARTTIC S.A.S. took over the company, which means that GABO:mi will be restructured by way of an asset transfer. Since the investor is a competitor, this solution will mean that synergies can be realised. All the 21 jobs will be saved as a result of the takeover.

In the past few months, Mr Willrodt and his team have continued to manage the company. GABO:mi specialises in managing EU-funded collaborative research projects. As part of the individual research projects, GABO:mi, in their role as the project management partner, provides support with the application process, contract negotiations, financial management, reporting to the European Commission and public relations. The company is Germany’s market leader in this area. Thus far, they have managed 39 research projects worth in total approximately 300 million euros in EU funds.

The negotiations were extremely complex since they had to take place not only with national institutes, but also at a European level. This involved everybody concerned pulling together,” said the PLUTA expert Ivo-Meinert Willrodt.

GABO:mi had filed for insolvency with the Local Court of Munich at the end of April. Following today’s decision, insolvency proceedings against the company have been opened.
