Restructuring Expert Dr Thiemann is the provisional Insolvency Administrator of Brüggershemke + Reinkemeier KG

Following the decision taken today, the Local Court of Bielefeld has appointed Dr Stephan Thiemann from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as the provisional insolvency administrator of Brüggershemke + Reinkemeier KG.

The wholesaler has a comprehensive range of C materials and also produces articles for the office, warehouse and laboratory under its own brand name. Brüggershemke + Reinkemeier offer a wide range of products – from working clothes and advertising material to packaging solutions and cleaning agents.

Together with his team, Dr Thiemann is in the process of obtaining an initial overview of the company’s situation. The PLUTA attorney explains: “We are continuing the full scope of business operations. The customers can continue ordering and will receive their goods on time.” The objective of the provisional insolvency administrator is to give the traditional company good prospects of a successful future.

He will arrange the pre-financing of the insolvency substitute benefits as soon as possible. Employee wages and salaries will be secure for a period of three months thanks to these benefits. The Gütersloh-based company has a workforce of 186 employees.

Brüggershemke + Reinkemeier was given advice on filing for insolvency by the attorney Mr Patrick Klawa from the law firm Aderhold Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH. Moreover, the company was also advised by the economic and financial expert Mr Joseph Schrull.

The family business was founded in Gütersloh in 1955 and developed from a paper wholesale company to a full-service wholesaler. In addition to dealing in paper and packaging materials, the range includes various products such as office supplies, disposable protective clothing, print products, specialist media and working clothes.

In some individual segments, Brüggershemke + Reinkemeier KG also acts as a producer. Moreover, the company performs a broad spectrum of logistics services. In the furnishing and fittings segment, the company assumes responsibility for planning and designing offices. Furthermore, training courses and advisory services are offered in the areas of occupational health and safety as well as environmental protection.

Brüggershemke + Reinkemeier KG only have commercial customers, both major companies and SMEs, whether resident in Germany or abroad.

The company is based in Gütersloh in the state North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition to the head office and production facilities, there is also a 45,000-square-metre storage facility, in which on average approximately 50,000 articles are stored.
