Restructuring Expert Dr. Christian Kaufmann is the provisional Insolvency Administrator of Versand und Weiterverarbeitung Hagen GmbH

With its decision of 25 September 2015, the Local Court of Bremen appointed the restructuring expert Dr. Christian Kaufmann from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as the provisional insolvency administrator of Versand und Weiterverarbeitung Hagen GmbH.

Dr. Kaufmann has already been able to gain a first impression of the company. At a staff meeting, he gave the 260 employees information on the insolvency and its consequences. Moreover, he also arranged for a pre-financing of the so-called insolvency substitute benefits. Thanks to these insolvency substitute benefits, employee salaries are secure until the end of October 2015.

“It is my aim to ensure that the company has good prospects of continuation and to save as many jobs as possible. To achieve this, I will hold talks with the company's customer in the next few days,” reported the PLUTA attorney Dr. Kaufmann.

The company provides a major customer with services and contract work in the area of further processing and despatching print products.

Versand und Weiterverarbeitung Hagen GmbH is a member of the Bremen-based Stark Group. Dr. Christian Kaufmann has already been appointed as the insolvency administrator of several enterprises in the Stark Group. These include S & T Sicherheit & Technik GmbH & Co. KG as well as druckservice duisburg medienfabrik GmbH & Co. KG.

Recently, the restructuring expert acted as a consultant for the debtor-in-possession management of the Thedinghausen-based company Winter Holzbau GmbH and restructured their business operations.
