PLUTA Restructuring Expert Stefan Meyer appointed as Insolvency Administrator for Lohmeier Schaltschrank-Systeme

Following the decision taken on 1 March 2017, the Local Court of Bielefeld has opened insolvency proceedings for the assets of Lohmeier Schaltschrank-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG and has appointed Mr Stefan Meyer from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as the insolvency administrator. Previously, the attorney Mr Meyer had acted as the provisional insolvency administrator of the company.

Business operations have been successfully continued since then. The customers can order and will receive their goods as usual. The objective of the insolvency administrator is to find an investor for the long-established company, which was founded in 1963.

The PLUTA restructuring expert said: “The process of finding an investor is developing positively. And I’m delighted that we succeeded in improving the order situation. The employees are motivated and are all pulling together with us. The company is well prepared for the future. Therefore, I’m optimistic that we will achieve the best possible solution for both the employees and the creditors.“

Lohmeier Schaltschrank-Systeme provides industrial housing solutions for such sectors as the car industry, mechanical and plant engineering, electrical and control engineering or electrical goods wholesale as well as housing components for data networks and telecommunications. Their core products are industrial housings made of sheet steel, stainless steel and polyester as well as mechanical and electrical system components.

Lohmeier Schaltschrank-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG only have commercial customers, both major companies and SMEs, whether resident in Germany or abroad. The products are sold not only Europe-wide but also worldwide, especially in Australia and Russia. In 2016, the company generated revenues of around 11 million euros. The reason for filing for insolvency were liquidity problems.
