PLUTA restructuring expert Michael Wahl finds investor for security company SWS GmbH

Mr Michael Wahl from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH succeeded in finding an investor for the security company SWS GmbH based in Bad Wurzach. He sold the business to Kahl Sicherheit GmbH, based in Ravensburg, as part of an asset deal with effect of 26 August 2019. All of the 49 jobs have been saved.

The persons responsible for the transaction have agreed to maintain confidentiality about the purchase price. „We would like to thank our customers, that have remained loyal to our company, and our employees who have pulled together with us since the application was filed,” said the PLUTA restructuring expert Mr Wahl, who is being supported in the proceedings by the business management expert Mr Reinhard Wünsch.

In the past weeks, Mr Wahl and Mr Wünsch have kept the business going without restrictions. The services under the company’s contracts to secure perimeters, business premises and construction sites have been provided as previously. Moreover, the company has also won new orders.

Well-known investor

Kahl Sicherheit GmbH, based in the Ravensburg, Swabia, is a well-known provider of security services. The company offers their customers a full range of services, such as security analyses, setting up crisis and emergency management and even personal or property protection as part of a comprehensive overall concept.

“The negotiations were very constructive. This acquisition should help us to continue on our growth path. Therefore, we are pleased that we have achieved this agreement and have expanded our team,” said Norbert Kahl, managing director of Kahl Sicherheit GmbH.

On 26 August, the local court opened insolvency proceedings for the assets of SWS GmbH and appointed the PLUTA attorney Mr Wahl as administrator. He previously had acted as the provisional administrator for the company. Mr Wahl has extensive experience in insolvency administration and in restructuring companies. For example, most recently he found an investor for the retail company Kaufmanns Warenwelt in Riedlingen.
