PLUTA Restructuring Expert Michael Bremen to continue D-TEC Industrie Design Business

21 August 2018 · Düsseldorf · Business Area Insolvency Administration

The attorney Mr Michael Bremen from the restructuring firm PLUTA has been appointed as the provisional insolvency administrator for the furnishing specialist D-TEC Industrie Design GmbH. On 23 July 2018, the Local Court of Düsseldorf ordered the proceedings to be opened and appointed the restructuring expert Mr Michael Bremen as the provisional administrator.

The full scope of business operations is being continued, which has been approved by the administrator and is also being supported by major suppliers and customers, which means that the company will remain fully capable of meeting its delivery obligations. At present, the company has a workforce of 22 employees, whose salaries are guaranteed for a period of three months thanks to insolvency substitute benefits being paid, which have already been pre-financed.

D-TEC Industrie Design GmbH mainly produces furnishings for commercial customers, such as wardrobes, mirrors and other home accessories, which are sold and distributed via affiliated dealers, interior designers and direct business channels. The company can look back over a period of 30 years of business.

In view of the talks currently being held with potential investors, the management and the provisional administrator Mr Michael Bremen see good prospects for being able to preserve the business.
