Download as PDFInsolvency administrator Mr Frank Brachwitz from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has announced positive news for embeddeers GmbH based in Berlin: the restructuring expert has sold the business operations of the IT and engineering services provider (whose main expertise lies in the automotive industry) by way of an asset deal. The creditors’ assembly today approved the takeover by SPYROSOFT SOLUTIONS GmbH, a German subsidiary of SPYROSOFT S.A., a Polish listed company.
embeddeers GmbH is a long-established strategic partner for its customers. “The company has an experienced team of engineers with extensive expertise in embedded software and hardware development. We are pleased that this expert knowledge will still be available to customers going forward,” said attorney Mr Brachwitz. The solution that has been found will safeguard most of the jobs.
The company provides development services for the automotive sector from its Berlin location, covering the entire process model. Employees advise on development and positioning and handle the software and hardware development. Outside of the automotive sector, the company also provides custom solutions for automation technology, telecommunications and medtech customers. Its specialists develop complex and security-critical system and software solutions in teams assembled for specific projects.
Several discussions with interested parties
The restructuring team under Mr Brachwitz has kept the business fully operational since the company filed for insolvency in November 2024. A structured process of finding an investor conducted in parallel to this has now been successfully concluded following today’s approval by the creditors’ assembly. “We have held a multitude of discussions with interested parties based here in Germany and abroad. With the agreement now reached, we have achieved a positive outcome that also benefits the creditors,” said the specialist attorney for insolvency and restructuring law.
“Strengthening ties in the German automotive market”
The agreement reached gives SPYROSOFT the opportunity to further expand its presence on the German market. The future cooperation will bring with it valuable expertise in automotive services and early-stage development projects, with a focus on embedded software, hardware and the development of security-relevant systems.
“From now on, we will be in a position to further integrate AI consulting for the automotive market with expertise in battery management, driver monitoring and software-defined vehicles. We are looking forward to being able to offer top-class expertise on an even greater scale, especially – but not solely – in respect of embedded software solutions, and to further strengthening our ties with companies in the German market,” said Mr Witold Leder, CEO of SPYROSOFT SOLUTIONS.
