PLUTA Restructuring Expert Dr Kaufmann is the provisional Insolvency Administrator of Securitas

With its decision of 5 September, the Local Court of Bremen appointed the restructuring expert Dr Kaufmann from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as the provisional insolvency administrator of the packaging and logistics company Securitas Gesellschaft für Seeverpackung mbH & Co. KG.

The company had to file for insolvency due to a decrease in orders and intensified competition in the special transport packaging sector. The restructuring measures previously initiated will be implemented during the proceedings. The companies’ business operations will be continued without any restrictions. The provisional insolvency administrator arranged for a pre-financing of the so-called insolvency substitute benefits, which will ensure that the salaries of the 24 employees are secure for a period of three months.

“All the customers can continue to rely on the consistent high service quality. I am optimistic that we will succeed in giving the traditional company good prospects of a successful future. We are already holding promising discussions with potential investors to find a long-term solution in the near future”, said the PLUTA attorney Dr Kaufmann.

Securitas Gesellschaft für Seeverpackung mbH & Co. KG, which was founded in 1962, designs and realises packaging solutions for transport by sea, rail, air and land. It offers customised solutions for a wide variety of goods covering the entire logistics chain. The company is a subsidiary of the Buss Port Logistics division of the Hamburg-based Buss Group.
