PLUTA partner Steffen Beck finds follow-up solution for online retailer

After four months of maintaining business operations, Mr Steffen Beck from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has achieved a solution for sole proprietorship Denis Luth Ersatzteil-Lager, which runs the ersatzteil-lager.com online shop. An investor will acquire the business under an asset deal.

Around 20 employees will be kept on, while only three part-time employees are set to lose their jobs. The purchase agreement was signed on Monday with effect from 1 October 2022. The PLUTA team informed the employees of the positive outcome today.

The company based in Neuhausen auf den Fildern in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg runs an online store selling spare parts and accessories for domestic appliances. The e-commerce shop had to file for insolvency in mid-May 2022. On 1 August 2022, the proceedings were opened and the Local Court of Esslingen appointed PLUTA attorney Mr Steffen Beck as administrator. He is being supported in the proceedings by attorney Dr Matthias Lehr.

PLUTA restructuring expert Mr Steffen Beck said, “We have managed to keep the business going for over four months. We have also conducted an M&A process, which has now been successfully concluded. This is a really positive outcome for the dedicated employees.” The general conditions were not easy in light of global supply chain issues. However, the team and management showed great commitment and were therefore pivotal to the achievement of the follow-up solution.

The online shop has been in existence since 2012 and specialises in spare parts and accessories for domestic appliances. The sole proprietorship distributes the product range on e-commerce marketplaces and its own online shop.
