Mr Michael Wahl and Mr Reinhard Wünsch from PLUTA are intensively negotiating with an investor from the south of Germany who intends to preserve the Wochenblatt publishing house based in Ravensburg. The talks between the two provisional insolvency administrators and the potential buyer are promising.
The attorney Mr Michael Wahl has been appointed as the provisional administrator for Wochenblatt Verlag Ravensburg GmbH & Co. KG by the Local Court of Ravensburg at the beginning of December 2017. The business management expert Mr Reinhard is acting in the same capacity for WBL Pressezustellservice GmbH and MCT Media-Center Tuttlingen GmbH.
The restructuring expert Mr Michael Wahl from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH said, “We are in the process of conducting promising negotiations with an investor. Although there are still several points to be clarified for the planned relaunch, I am optimistic that we will succeed in finding a solution.” For example, over the next three weeks, it has to be ensured that the relaunch of the weekly “Wochenblatt”, as the second independent advertising paper in its previous area of distribution, will be welcomed and strongly supported by important customers for printed advertisements and advertising inserts. The administrators aim at achieving a solution by the end of January.
The publishing house produces the weekly “Wochenblatt” advertising paper, which is delivered free to homes in Ravensburg, Bad Saulgau, Biberach, Riedlingen, Friedrichshafen, Lindau, Tuttlingen and Wangen, with a total volume of approximately 376,000 copies. The investor and the Wochenblatt team plan to distribute the relaunch issue on 1 February 2018.
