PLUTA attorney Patrick Meyerle finds investor for HofladenBOX

29 August 2023 · Nürnberg · Business Area Insolvency Administration

Good news for sales of local food from the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region: Mr Patrick Meyerle from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has achieved a solution for HofladenBOX in his capacity as insolvency administrator. An investor will acquire the business operations and the some 20 employees effective 1 August 2023 by way of an asset deal. This means that customers can continue to place orders online via HofladenBOX for the products of over 60 farmers, small businesses and direct producers based in the Nuremberg-Fürth-Erlangen region.

Restructuring expert Mr Patrick Meyerle has worked with his team and business lawyer Mr Dino Eglinski to keep the company operating since it filed for insolvency in late May. He has held numerous discussions with business partners and suppliers. He also launched a process to find an investor, which has now been successfully concluded. “Regional products are in very high demand due to their quality, short distance to the customer and more. I am therefore all the more pleased that there is now a future in Stein near Nuremberg for this promising concept and that customers can continue to purchase food produced in the region in this way,” said Mr Patrick Meyerle.

The Local Court of Fürth opened insolvency proceedings for the assets of HofladenBOX GmbH & Co. KG on 1 August 2023 and appointed Mr Patrick Meyerle as insolvency administrator. He had previously acted as provisional administrator for the company. Creditors can now file their claims for registration in the insolvency schedule. These will then be thoroughly examined.
