Retail GmbH and appointed Mr Ilkin Bananyarli from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as provisional administrator on 29 January 2026. An application was also filed for FELIX W. Holding GmbH, a non-operational investment company that holds the shares in FELIX W. Retail GmbH. The specialist attorney based in Stuttgart has been appointed provisional administrator for this as well.
Mr Bananyarli and his PLUTA colleague Mr Sven Heuser were already on the ground with the company in the past week and held discussions with the managing director. Today, the provisional administrator provided an update for staff at an employee meeting. The PLUTA team will gain an overview of the financial situation over the coming days. The fashion retailer will continue to operate at its three locations for the time being.
FELIX W. Retail GmbH headquartered in Stuttgart runs a total of three stores – in Stuttgart’s Heilbronner Strasse, at Stuttgart Airport and in Munich city centre. These three locations are affected by the company having filed for insolvency. The business employs around 20 people.
Mr Ilkin Bananyarli said in an initial statement, “The general conditions in the industry are far from easy. The first step will be to stabilise the company’s operations. We are holding discussions with business partners for this.” No further information is available at this time.
FELIX W. is a menswear retailer that focuses on business outfits and formal attire made from high-quality materials. Founded in Stuttgart in 1996, the company sells men’s clothing, including suits, blazers, shirts and accessories.
